Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Kardein (“Kardein,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using Kardein, creating an account, joining the waitlist, or continuing past a sign-in screen that references these Terms, you agree to be bound by them and by our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use Kardein.

Kardein is in active development. Features, availability, performance, and pricing may change without notice. Early access is provided on an preview basis and may be limited, interrupted, or withdrawn at any time.

You understand that Kardein may contain bugs, incomplete workflows, or experimental functionality. We appreciate feedback, but we do not guarantee any particular release date, feature set, or outcome.

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Kardein. You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or if your account has been suspended or terminated by us.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your profile, resume, and application answers current.

Notify us promptly at contact@kardein.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You agree not to misuse Kardein. For example, you will not:

• Use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes.
• Submit false credentials, employment history, or application answers.
• Attempt to bypass CAPTCHAs, access controls, or employer protections.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service except as permitted by law.
• Upload malware or content that infringes another person's rights.
• Use Kardein to spam employers or automate activity that violates third-party terms.

Kardein is designed to help you prepare and, where enabled, submit job applications with review gates and user controls. You remain solely responsible for reviewing application materials, confirming accuracy, and deciding whether to submit to an employer.

Kardein does not guarantee interviews, offers, responses, or hiring outcomes. Employers make their own decisions, and third-party application platforms may reject, delay, or modify submissions for reasons outside our control.

You retain ownership of content you upload or create in Kardein, such as resumes, answers, and notes. You grant Kardein a limited license to host, process, display, and use that content solely to operate, improve, and provide the service to you, including automated drafting, matching, and submission workflows you request.

You represent that you have the rights needed to provide your content and that doing so does not violate any agreement or law.

Kardein may integrate with or link to third-party services such as authentication providers, job boards, email systems, and application platforms. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites, forms, or hiring decisions.

Kardein and its branding, software, design, and documentation are owned by Kardein or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no license is granted to you.

Kardein is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that automated drafts will be accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kardein and its founders, contractors, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, opportunities, goodwill, or employment outcomes arising out of or related to your use of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Kardein will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kardein from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your content, your applications submitted through or with the help of Kardein, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Kardein at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for us or others, or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using Kardein at any time.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions related to content, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
